The Overlook of Community Banks

There's a lot going on in regional banks. A lot of people myself included think that this is the first of many shoes to drop. The banking industry, although nobody wants too big to fail, we're creating that right before our very eyes as we see deposits go from these mid to small tier banks to some of the larger banks. If you look at a community bank, there are less than $1 million dollars in assets and they can earn 4% buying a treasury,. And I'm supposed to do that? We can all point our fingers at regulators and gee, that's going to get us nowhere," he said.
