Historical Perspectives on Energy Transitions

O'brady: Historians can serve a purpose by sharing that imagination of other worlds with people whose own acquaintance with history doesn't make that easy for them. He says historians are aware that energy transitions have never been fast, and they necessarily involvete connections to social, economic, ideological, political and other systems. "I think it would make sense for historians to try to explain the complexities and underlying necessities of the energy transition," he adds. O'brady concludes another episode of the new book's network.
