Is There a Problem With Souce Material?
We have very little information because we have no written sources. Writing didn't really come to the eslavic world until eight 63. The way the word rus was used was also not constant, not even in the mediaeval period. So i guess what we're dealing with, which makes history so exciting and so complicated, is that every one spins their own myth rite. History is the relationship between the past and the present. And as we spin our myths, for example,we're recognizing that ukraine exists.
