Pamela ricard, who teaches math at fort riley middle school, says she refuses to use the preferred names and pronouns of transgender and non binary students because it violates her religious belief. After being disciplined multiple times for refusing to use the student's preferred name, ricard filed a federal lawsuit against the geary county schools unified school district on monday. So you now have a conservative lawsuit based on pronouns in sounding in the first amendment. There's a pronoun case in virginia that's under the virginia constitution. That says teachers have rights on teaching and scholarship. And this is actually in accordance with a lot of prevailing precedent.
