Tulsa in 19 21 was what i call a tinder box or powder keg. James weldon johnson described the summer and fall of 19 19 as red summer, read a metaphorical reference to the blood that flowed in the streets from all this racial unrest. Lynching is a form of domestic terrorism aimed primarily at african americans. So there were dozens upon dozens of lynchings every year run up to the 19 21 tulsa race massacre and thereafter.
