State supreme court temporarily block south carolina's 20 21 heartbeat law this week. But abortion still is outlawed there after 20 weeks. State house now considering a new abortion ban that has no exceptions other than to save the life of the mother. That bill advanced t Tuesday with collins and five other republicans declining to vote. The south carolina senate has pursued an even stricter version that would criminalize any one who aids those seeking abortions.
