The Importance of Designing Your Own Boat

I don't really call myself a fan of anyone. There is people that I get inspired by. But design wise, I don't really have an example. Everything specific that you had sort of designed your own boat after. Well, the thunderstorm 34 that my father built has a fairly similar Roshade and Roshade, I know works very well. However, I wanted more speed. A heavy boat will never blink. It will never come up on a plane. The second best you can get is a boat that sells at Roshade.
