The IRS and the attorney generals of New York in New Jersey could find no record of it being registered as a tax-exempt organization. Some animal group that co-hosted a $50 ticket fundraiser with Santos in 2017 said it never received any of the proceeds. Now there's a conversation about whether he should be removed for office for having lied about everything. Lying works in politics, but I think Trump found the gap where nobody had noticed.
