How Much Melatonin Do We Make as Humans?
On a daily basis, depending on where we are in the lifespan, we make anywhere from 0.1 to 0.9 milligrams in a day. In certain chronic disease cancer, we'll see it at 10, 20milligram doses. Some people like to use low dose before they start their travel, especially if they're going eastward. Dr. Paolo LoSoni uses higher doses of melatonin supplementally when people are going through chemotherapy.
