I was hoping you could perhaps kind of walk us through the different ways that that term gets used and then what particularly it means for you most importantly in this particular text. The term critical theory has obviously kind of wider and narrower usages. What I try to do in the book is to say in some ways I see myself as kind of working across all of these definitions. And so there's a third usage that I map out in the book which is sometimes people use the term critical theory to refer to what we might otherwise just call theory in the domain of comparative literature or literary studies.
