Many of the Republican parties, biggest names, will not be attending the annual Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland this week. This year's conference comes as CPAC's chair match-lab faces a lawsuit that alleges he fondled a mail aid and then Senate candidate Herschel Walker,. without consent in October. Potential 2024 candidates, including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, and Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, are also skipping it. Several Republicans who spoke to NBC News anonymously have said the allegations are a factor in the broader movement away from the event.
