Joe Cronin's Comments on the Ben Simmons Trade

The Portland Trailblazers were never going to trade him unless he asked for a trade. They wanted him to ask out, but I think they knew the only way we ever get to this place is if he asks out because they simply needed that for the public relations aspect of this. And so everything that Joe Cronin is supposed to do, which is supposed to be good for the franchise, his job is to do what's best for the franchise. He has done that at every step of the way. If they want to wait till February to trade him, they can. Let's just see if he shows up for training camp.
