Before he was famous for Ari's take on your own as a singer songwriter, you made a successful living for yourself. You were playing college shows, you were doing tours. How does that work? Right. So I remember January 28th, 2008, like it was yesterday, that's when I quit my day job at Starbucks and I was able to quit because I was making just enough money with my music playing shows. This was in Minneapolis to survive. And then three months later, I booked a showcase at NACA, which is the largest entertainment conference for colleges. On the spot, I booked 50 college shows.
