Studying the King James Version of the Bibled

Sometimes there's a stereotype about biblical scholars as being these faithless secularists who are out to destroy faith. The king james version d obviously eloquent, It's beautiful. It's the one you want to read outloud at a funeral. Because it's the traditional registrer for us for hymns and prayers and sermons,. we tend to instinctively view it as more spiritual than just everyday english. And i can tell with some of my students, where they've been through seminary and even at sunday school in britain or germany that this translation is often difficult for people to understand.
