Can Drugs Enhance Performance?
We have yet to really establish that drugs can enhance normal human performance, cognitive performance. To improve performance from a normal base line has proven to be very, very difficult. Most of the drugs that we've studied as cogniven hancers actually show that in normals, they tend to impair performance as much as anything. We're also understanding a lot more about circuit mechanisms and circuit dynamics which might impact people's functioning.
