OR7 - Anthropomorphism in the Natural World

Stephen King's new book is about a wolf called OR7 who left his pack in Oregon to look for love. The author says he was uncomfortable with the level of anthropomorphism that people put on him because it seemed too much like they were trying to understand themselves through this animal. But at the same time I think there's a very human instinct where we look at the natural world say and we sort of are trying to understand ourselves through it, according to King.
