The Different Types of Tests to Evaluate LCL Injuries
To evaluate LCL injuries, one may perform a lateral pivot shift test. The shoulder should be fully externally rotated during the test. At 40 degrees of flexion, the patient may feel pain in apprehension. A clunk appreciated at 40 degrees represents a dislocated radiocapatellar joint.
