The Importance of Knowing the Right Number
A Black-American is making 10 times as much as somebody who was not descended from slavery. How many Black slaves were there in America in 1850? The answer is around 900,000. By the way, I would consider that a foundational educational fact, which I didn't know. So, that's bad on me.
