The Dalai Lama and the Communist Party

Dalai Lama has been a pivotal figure among Tibetans in exile campaigning around the world. Whoever takes on that position could be very powerful, or they could be a young boy unable to be involved for what 20 years. If China declares a lama as it's expected to do, what happens then? So I don't know because the question is, I keep chiding my Chinese friends saying, let us see whether his holiness, the Dalai Lama, outlifts the Communist Party,.
