The Double Bumper of the Communist Party

The Soviet Union saw paid work as a way to women's freedom, but from what I've read, they always had this double burden. All these decisions that were made were in the Communist Party, were mainly made by men and there were very few key women figures. The problem was that at no point did the authorities make a requirement to do that work at home. They allowed the whatever was happening in the domestic sphere to just continue while trying to create gender equality outside the domestic sphere. And that was the big failure, I guess.
