The Story of a Mongolian Princess in Labyrinth
Monke has been researching and writing historical fiction for most of her adult life. She was inspired by the Mongolian princess Koutulan, who she writes about in Labyrinth. Monke: Often women who are seen as not female enough or not feminine enough are written out; other women are promoted because they are doing appropriately female things.
