CTA's Trend Following Is What They Do
Some of the world's biggest quant funds have suffered steep losses in the past two weeks following the sell off and global bond markets. Also called CTA's, which use computer models to automatically spot and ride market trends were caught out as investors anticipated an end to the Federal Reserve's measures to stimulate the US economy. So this reporter, now once again, we're in the context of chaos. We've seen this over the last 15 years.
