Paralympics - What's the Difference?

Since the summer games of er some in 19 88 and the winter games in arberville, france in 92, the parolympics have been held in the same ho city as is the olympic games. Who are the most notable athletes in these early games? I can't really name individual athletes, but the big countries are the ones you'd expect to day as well.
