Playing the Correct Positions in the Book

If you know how to think about positions, then you're well on the way to being able to narrow the choice down. Eventually, if you play enough, you just get a sense of where your checkers belong. A lot of the plays in this book to a top class player would be obvious. But if you're not a top player, you're gonna have to work through these a little bit.
