Foucault's History of Sexuality
The history of sexuality is crucial to understanding Foucault's last decade. The first volume that is out in December 1976 and this will be followed by five other volumes. He says after this introductory volume which is called the Wilton Narrow or the Wilton Knowledge, there will be a volume on confession. And then there will be four volumes that look at what he calls the constituent subjects of sexuality. This will be the perverse adult, the hysterical woman, the masturbating child and the Malthusian couple.
