The Three Women Must Hang for the Good of the State
Lord North wrote a letter to the secretary of state in london asking for their executions. He was concerned that if they didn't, it could go badly wrong and lead to violence. But he politicized the case by saying 'we know they're not witches' The three women were sentenced to be hanged at Exeter's gallows on November 14th 1605.
