Symptoms of Multiple Hereditary Axostosis
There is five to ten % malignant transformation to condre sarcoma in patients with multiple hereditary axostosis. Proximate legions are more likely to undergo malignant transformation than distal legions. Know that ostio condromas may have a thin cartilage cap that covers the lesion and are only two to three millimeters thick. Thick cartilage caps imply growth, but are not a reliable indicator of malignant degeneration.
