Is There a War Breaking Out Over One of These Three Flash Points?
In all three cases, and especially tiwan, you're talking about sacred territory. This, of course, enrages the chinese, who are very nationalistic to begin with. It's easy to imagine a war breaking out over one of these three flash points. That's not to say that it is likely or that it's going to happen. But i think when you take the balance of power between china and the united states, compare it to the balance ofpower between the united states and the soviet union, there's much cause for worry here.
