The Importance of Disdiscretion in Trading
The long-term interest rate trend that drove the market for 30 years is no longer there. It's been the reason why CTA's and hedge funds have really been struggling in the last few years. That there are not enough strong trends in the other markets to make up for the disappearing interest rate trends. And we have these tail risks forever in the futures markets, not so much in the stock market. Not having a strategy to take advantage of those tail events is going to cause people great pain and harm in the future - it will.
