The newyork times came out with this very strident position about about the famine, thut there is no famine. And that was, again, same thing that william lawrence had done, which is that he didn't just say there wasn't. He said, those who were claiming that ther was a famine w wrong. As we all know, there, of course was a famine. It was engineered by stalen as part of a means of consolidating power. What i extract from walter durranti in my view is that everybody in that room understood that this would never have been possible without Duranti's sacrifice.
