There is a short-term goal with signing players in January, as well. I was chatting to a few pundits the other day about this and asking whether sometimes if there is so much unity in a team that introducing new players can disrupt it. It's the complete opposite, they tell me. They say that when new players come in, particularly in a January window, all the players around them are actually... They almost want to impress the new player that comes in. That's one of those things that seems to work better as an idea than it has in practice so far. But I do feel like he has the attributes to be a centre forward as well, so maybe that will happen.
