The Chicago Cubs defeated the New York Mets and secured a series win Wednesday night. After falling behind 2-0 in the 3rd, the Cubs' bats woke up in support of Marcus Stroman. Dansby Swanson, Seiya Suzuki and Mike Tauchman each batted in a run in the 3rd inning to give the Cubs a 3-2 lead. Nico Hoerner followed that up in the 6th with a big blast, his 3rd homer of the year. Marcus Stroman shut it down from there in a revenge game, as he went 8 innings with just 2 runs allowed.
