What's the Alternative to Dependency on China?

Tech companies are in a difficult position, especially if you take many of the companies that are not just reliant on customers in a country like China. I think what they want to avoid is a situation where they are forced to making drastic changes in a very squeezed period of time. It's one thing to try to decouple from China and to gradually allow that process to play out over a decade or so. But it's much more important to reallocate production from China to other countries that can be host to investments by American firms for instance.
