Introduction
Princeton Theology was a tradition of conservative, reformed, and Presbyterian theology that thrived from the founding of the institution in 1812 until the 1920s. After that point, due to the increasing influence of theological liberalism at the school, the last Princeton theologians left to found Westminster Theological Seminary. As this story illustrates, seminaries are a key battleground for the culture war. Whoever controls the seminary also has major influence and control over hundreds and thousands of pastors who will train millions of American Christians over the span of a generation.
