The Federal Full Statement Statute Is a Real Trap for the Unweary
A lot of the prosecutions that he has either threatened or actually brought are for making false statements to federal investigators, FBI agents. Mueller is an expert at exploiting this, but what I call, bizarre criminal code. The federal full statement statute is a real trap because you can be charged with a five-year felony for any misstatement made to any federal official. That would include your local postmaster. A lie to any one of them can expose you to five years, and that's a lie that's not under oath.
