The Industrial Policy Focus in the United States
In the eighties, this small government convinced everybody that industrial policy has somehow outmoded or outdated. But at no point did we stop doing it. It's just, is called industrial policy. And every nation, every major nation in all history has done it. We have to give some credit to the breakthrough institute which focused early and quite eloquently on the need to make clean energy cheap through serious investment. The green new deal that was proposed by the movement included huge direct investments.
