The Power of Memory
In the last five years, I've had a chance to spend most of my time in Asia. And what's been amazing to me is that when this kind of intensity and passion hits, things from my memory that I don't know where they are coming from appear. That's one of the things that's really fascinating about memory. There's a lot of things that we learn at a high level of detail very, very quickly that are stored very, very well. But memories for films or books or life experiences, there's some forgetting there but the forgetting is much, much more shallow.
