A leader's lasting value is measured by succession. Choose who will carry on your legacy. A lot of what I have done over the 12 years of my sobriety now is a direct result of his impact on my life. He passed that baton to me. Now he didn't know that he did. But he did without knowing it. How can we help other people get sober is through sponsorship. You show people what you have done. You lead by experience. You teach. You constantly are looking to help people.
