Keith Chan: Could how you speak about time affect your propensity to behave across time? He says English is the only Germanic language that requires this. It's simply not permissible in English to say it rained tomorrow. In contrast, a Chinese speaker can basically say something that sounds very strange to an English speaker's ears.
