After the race, my mum handed me a pink carebear with what appeared to be a signature across its chest. She had overheard one of the other parents declare a footballer was in the room, and had come to see his little sister compete. After seeing how upset i was after the race, she bought the only item left on the fund raisor table, a pink care bear, and handed it to the footballers for them to sign.
