The british royal family are more worried about their own survival, and underestimate the chances of it as well. There is a sense there that wilhelm the second has got his just deserts. The king writes some quite powerful things in his diary about how wilhelm has caused the war. And again, the view of the monarchy is quite ambiguous as to whether, in terms of any pity for, for fr form, members of the austro hungarian dynasty.
