Is the Church Going to Be the Next American Idol?

I don't really expect anything from, from the Pope, nor do I expect him to be listening anytime soon. The pushback I get comes more generally in that you always get the question, well, why haven't we heard this before? There's a number of honest answers. And so when you have somebody like me come along and say, "Hey, it's about time you read the other 90%. And forget about your tradition" It has a role to play in the larger world of biblical thinking and biblical theology. But you never get to it.
