The History of the Yellowstone Grizzly Bear Population
The grizzly bear population in Montana crashed to about 136 bears at the time of their listing in 1975. Today, through efforts by the states and the federal government there are an excess of 700 bears in the area. Many biologists believe that the bears have reached their carrying capacity. The Endangered Species Act needs to be tripped up at the goal line, but this story just keeps getting tripped up.
