The Island of Dr. Moreau - A Book About Fear
In 1896 is the Island of Dr. Moreau, about a doctor on an isolated island. It's basically splicing up animals and producing new horrific creatures. And it all goes horrifically wrong and they degenerate back into their animalistic forms. But there's a real kind of glee here about the imagination that Darwin has given to the public. If we stay on this course, he's suggesting, then we will decline. So what we need is a different organisation of society.
