Douglas Lang says performance reviews get in the way of rather than enhance performance. Research from global force would seem to back up anecdotal evidence. Four out of five US workers indicated they were dissatisfied with their job performance reviews. As a result, reviews become less about assessing performance and more about ticking a box for another year.
