Minimum Support Price Policy in India?
Minimum support prices are propping up certain crops in certain geographical areas that idealy should not be grown. The transaction costs are too high, rit because futures markets don't operate on such a small volume. So it's only the intermediaries who can potentially participate in the future's markets. What might have made sense forty years ago does not make sense any more.
