I didn't come out till I was 26 to my parents. It took me probably two years working very closely with a therapist before I grew a set of balls and could do it. Now we live in a time where if you're 13, 14 is probably pretty safe in most parts of this country to come out. Also, you know, now when you hear stories of young people, 13, 14, maybe even younger, saying, "I might be biologically a man, but I'm a woman inside"
