Is There a Double Standard?
Many in the global south and and elsewhere, particularly in wartorn countries in the middle east, say, hang on a second. You know, we had war backed by russia, let's say, in syria, and our refugees were practically blocked from europe,. except for a few countries, notably germany. Now all those countries are taking the refugees from ukraine. So clearly, thereis a double standard. But i think we have to recognize this, double standards always exist. We're not going to live in a world where there are no double standards. And it's not so that the global southwit e cannot understand that there will be double standards. What
