McCarthy's Debt Deal Is a Career Defined Vote
Not one Republican should vote for this deal, says House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. The bill will lift the current 31.4 trillion To into 2025 while capping non-defense discretionary spending at 704 billion for 2024. Republicans are split on whether to pass it or not with some conservatives saying they're willing to take a lot of damage in order to get what they want. But others like Stephen Moore who wrote Trumponomics say there's no reason why Congress needed to negotiate as much as they did.
