How to Stick With a Winning Method

It's once one has a winning method sticking with it. The key element here is can you have the discipline when you can go through losing streaks? How do you get through a losing streak and stick with a system? In this case, even in the simulation and all that tests are possible, aren't they? Or if you look at this one, in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, it underperformed the S&P 500. That's four straight years of underperformed. Overall, it gives you twice the return in half the risk. But am I going to be able to stick through the next four years of underperforming and then say this still works?
